Why it Is Good to Be Called a Cougar Woman
You may have noticed in the media, a recent surge in the use of the term, cougar woman. It refers to a lady older than 35, who chooses to date younger men (usually 10 years younger or more). There are plenty of hot, celebrity cougars, including Mariah Carey, Madonna, Halle Berry and Demi Moore. Yet, I have read on some blog posts and in the news that some women seem to take offense when they are called cougars.
I think they just aren’t quite understanding the compliment. The name cougar is taken from the cat of the same name. The wild cat is strong, powerful and a successful hunter. This cat is also very beautiful. For a woman to be called a cougar, she should not just be dating younger men, she should also have share some of these qualities with the cat.
Most cougar women are successful in their jobs and can have a lot of money. Cougar women also like to take good care of themselves and may work out at the gym a lot and spend time making sure they look their best. Cougars are confident and individual women who believe in themselves. They have no problem approaching younger men and making the first move. A lot of men find this to be a very attractive quality in a woman.
So if you have been called a cougar woman, take it as a huge compliment, not as an insult.
